Notes: Jason was the son of David and Hannah (Thurber) Fairfield. Caroline (Fairfield) Corbin descendant Frank Corbin recorded that Jason temporarily moved to New York to seek employment in the area where his brother, John, was already living. They reportedly stayed in the area until circa 1856, at which time they returned to their longtime residence of Pomfret, CT. By the time of the 1860 census, all the kids have left the nest, so this is the only census listing all the individuals of this family by name.
