Notes: Ichabod Fairfield was the son of the Rev. John Fairfield and his first wife, Mary (Goodwin) Cutts. Ichabod was born in Saco, Maine, May 1, 1763, according to Wynn Cowan Fairfield. He holds the honor of fathering Gov. John Fairfield, and is thus the ancestor of numerous Fairfield descendants in Maine.
