Notes: James was the son of James C. and Anna (Carrick) Fairfield. He was born July 21, 1899, in Illinois (as per 1900 census and SSDI). He married Leona (surname unknown) circa 1928, as he indicates he was married at age 28 in the 1930 census above. Evidently, they lived for some time in Kansas, where there son Donald was born, according to this census.
