Notes: Clarence was the son of Joseph L. "Saw Log" and Eva Mae (Fairfield) Shrode. He was born May 8, 1874, according to his WWI Draft Registration. He married 1) Mary Dane, November 2, 1898 (IN marriage records). They had three children together: Edna, Elsie, and Walter Raymond -- all noted on his WWI Draft Registration. Mary died circa 1910. Clarence married 2) Minnie (unknown), sometime after 1920, at which time he was listed as a widower in the census. Clarence died February 15, 1967 (SSDI) in Rockport, Spencer Co., IN.
