Notes: Eva was the daughter of Sylvester W. and Mary (Barker) Fairfield. She was born circa 1854 in Indiana. She married Joseph L. "Saw Log" Shrode July 8, 1873, according to America's Greatest Family. Their 10 children were all born in Indiana. Eva died September 24, 1930, according to Browning Genealogy death record. She was buried in Tupman Cemetery, Evansville, Indiana. Her husband died sometime before 1910, as she is a widow in that census. By 1920 she is living with her son Clarence, who is also widowed -- his wife, Mary (Dane), having died about that time.
