Notes: Nellie was the daughter of Joseph L. "Saw Log" and Eva Mae (Fairfield) Shrode. She was born October 1879 and first appeared in the 1880 census, age 7 months, with her parents. She married William Corey Ice June 4, 1899 (IN marriage index). They had eight children and moved from Spencer County to Vandenburgh County during their marriage. Nellie died September 25, 1944 (Browning Genealogy death record).
