Notes: Joseph was the son of Jonathan T. and Julia (Butler) Fairfield. He was born July 11, 1846, according to a family Bible. According to a descendant who applied for DAR membership based on this lineage, he married Mary Fuller circa 1870. They resided in Suffolk, where Joseph died circa 1921.
